The Ravinia Farmers Market supports the viability of a local agricultural economy, which fosters the stewardship of our land and goodwill in our community by: providing a place for farmers and artisans to sell their goods directly to consumers; educating consumers on the benefits of better nutrition; creating a family friendly atmosphere amid a vibrant gathering place that builds community spirit; and promoting economic development by drawing people to the Ravinia Business District.
Our Goals
To operate a safe and enjoyable market that benefits customers and vendors
To retain past market vendors in the 2023 markets
To add additional variety to the market by adding quality, passionate local small business vendors that share our mission
To further create and maintain ongoing vendor-customer relationships
To educate customers about the benefits to health and planet of locally grown and sourced foods, organic food and farming, and community resilience
To meet and exceed the farmers market needs of our community, including customers, vendors, local residents and local governing/community organizations
