Ravinia Farmers Market Update – week of October 19

Chilly forecast or not, the Ravinia Farmers Market continues every Wednesday from 8am-1pm (7am early bid shopping) at Jens Jensen Park, through October 26. We encourage you to stop by the Market this Wednesday morning for a great selection of fall fruits and veggies and help to support our local vendors, producers and small businesses. Michigan in-season fruits include a variety of sweet and tart fall apples and pears, and a limited selection of plums and late season berries, plus a variety of local honey options, are also available from our produce vendors. You’ll also still find heirloom tomatoes, as well as colorful winter squash, eggplant, sweet and hot peppers, beets, cauliflower, radish, turnips, kohlrabi, lettuce, greens, carrots, herbs and other favorites. Pumpkins and decorative gourds will also be available for your fall decorating needs. Plan your weekly menu when shopping the Market. Select from farm fresh eggs, cheeses, meats, breads, pastries and baked goods, vegan and gluten-free selections, condiments, spices and chocolates, and snack items. Pick up a cut flower bouquet of fall flowers and decorative foliage. Several vendors also offer freshly-made breakfast and lunch items to eat at the Market or take home. Weekly live music is sponsored by the Highland Park Community Foundation. “Jazzman” Jeff Justman performs acoustic Beatle Jazz”, 60s Music, Torch Songs, and Originals from 8:45-10:45am. The Desert Birds Trio returns to the Market with gypsy swing music from 11am-1pm. The Ravinia Market runs through the end of October, so mark your calendars to not to miss this weekly Highland Park community event. Special thank you to our Market Gold Sponsors Carolyn Cerf Coldwell Banker Realty and Keyth Security. Additional gratitude to our other sponsors and Friends of Ravinia Farmers Market.
