Happy Spring 2021

Happy Spring,

We can’t believe the 2021 Market season is almost here!  I’d like to give you an update of some of the great news we have to share, and ask for your help as well.

NEW WEBSITE

Your RFM team has been busy building a brand-new website that we hope you’ll enjoy and find much easier to navigate.  While parts of the site are still under construction, the majority is there, and we’d like your feedback!

Please go to raviniafarmersmarket.com and take a look around.  Give me your honest feedback as to what you like, what could be improved, and what information is missing.

You’ll notice a Recipes section under construction. Here’s also where you come in, as we’d like to feature your favorite seasonal recipes. Please let me know if you would like to contribute now or during the season, and a team member will be in touch!

Also, as you will see in the Vendor dropdown, we’re continuing and adding several vendor options for 2021. More on this in an upcoming email!

I hope you find the new site more user friendly and more appealing to the public! It would be great if you can help spread the word about the site to your fellow vendors. Our goal is to create a 24/7 website to accommodate the farmers market customer base with lots of good information and great local, sustainable, family-owned businesses offering their products to be bought.

VENDOR CONTACT INFORMATION

Very important!  The new site features an all-new way of showcasing each vendor to RFM customers and visitors. Each vendor will have their own unique page, linked off of the vendor pages.

So that we can build out your vendor page, I’m asking you to please take a few minutes this week and fill out the VENDOR CONTACT FORM at https://www.raviniafarmersmarket.com/vendor-contact-form

Even if you have already turned in your application, we need you to please fill out the form in its entirety!  Please note that is important that you transcribe exactly what our requested additionally insured names are.  We greatly appreciate your assistance, and ask you to please complete the form by April 10.

UPDATE ON THE GLENCOE FARMERS MARKET

Exciting news!  We’re in discussion with the Village of Glencoe to start a Thursday market in downtown Glencoe.  On April 1, the Village Council will review and vote on whether we can have the market. I’m feeling 99% sure it will pass, and the market will be a go starting in June!

The market is planned for Wyman Green Park. All vendors would be required to drop off equipment and supplies and set up along the sidewalk with your tent(s) on the grass in the large park where music will also be provided. I estimate 25 or more tents could be available to sell out of, and interest is already very high, so you don’t want to miss out letting me know if you would like to participate.

As of this date, I have a verbal commitment from the following vendors:

  • NEWPORT COFFEE/BAKERY GOODS
  • SOFT WAVE FISH CO.
  • SUNRISE TOPIARIES
  • SWEETLAND BAKERY
  • 3 D BAKERY
  • HONEY WITH STYLE
  • CHOPPIN’ IT UP
  • ORGANIC FARMER
  • ORGANIC STONE GROUND FLOUR
  • SKOKIE PROVISION
  • ORGANIC FOOD CLUB
  • NATURAL ENVIRONMENTS

Stay tuned, as they say.  I’ll be in touch with an update after April 1!

As always, please email me with any questions or comments.  I look forward to your feedback on the website and thank you again for getting the Vendor Contact Form filled out by April 10.

Naturally yours,

Ed Kugler
