The vibrant Ravinia Farmers Market continues through October 30 in Jens Jensen Park, with weekly Markets featuring an abundance of fall fruit and produce, plus other favorites. Be sure to stop by Jens Jensen Park on Wednesday, October 9 from 8am-1pm (7am early bid shopping) for a great selection of farm-fresh and locally made artisan products and market specialties.
This week’s market is abundant with local and organic seasonal vegetables, and Michigan fruit and berries. Highlights of this week’s Market will include heirloom tomatoes, sweet and spicy peppers, winter squash and pumpkins, leafy greens, carrots and beets, and a variety of apples, pears, and plums perfect for baking and snacking.
Marketgoers can also select from farm fresh eggs, cheeses, meats, local honey, microgreens, small-batch ice cream, pastries and baked goods, condiments, artisan food products, skin care essentials, pottery and fresh cut flowers and beautiful plants for your home and garden. Vendors may also offer freshly made breakfast and lunch items to eat at the Market or take home.
Try an all-skill-level yoga session at 9:30 with YogaSix-Highland Park; BYOM or a limited number of mats are available. Enjoy live music with Artist in Market Residency Pierce Crask from 9-10 a.m. and world folk from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with Gerry Field and friends.
